The inspiration for this video came from all the Western European that I spoke to whilst working in London. As English is no their first language, it was only natural to leave a message in mother tounge first before repeating it in English

Since returning from 10 years overseas I see and hear more people attempting to normalise te reo. It is a mammoth job to do, but I see efforts from both media companies and wananga (schools) – with less than 10% of the maori population who consider themselves fluent, this is not an easy job
